Parents & Friends

All families at the Hunter Valley Grammar School are automatically members of the P&F.  It is well known that parental involvement in the School establishes stronger school spirit and community, and HVGS has been fortunate to have considerable involvement from its parents since it began.

The P&F meets once a term with the Principal.  The dates of these meetings are published in the School's newsletter.

The P&F Constitution incorporates the following:

1. Fostering the goodwill and interest of parents in and to the School.

2. Encouraging and enlisting the co-operation of parents for School based events.

3. Promoting the interests of the School.

4. Supporting the Board, School Management and other allied bodies in school-based activities.

5. Providing a forum for the discussion of matters of mutual interest and encouraging communication between the School and parents.

6. Conducting, with the approval of the Principal, fundraising activities that benefit the School and its students.

7. Establishing and co-ordinating parent interest groups to support co-curricular activities within the School.

Parents Council
The Parents Council represents parents of children at non-government schools.  It aims to support, inform, advocate and represent non-government school parents.  Hunter Valley Grammar School is proud to have Kathy Willmott on the Parents Council Committee.
