Junior School
Junior School includes Preschool to Year 6. Here, children are encouraged to explore the world in a stimulating and supportive environment. We believe that every child must feel secure at school and deserves to be listened to and noticed.
Growth and development are important themes in the Junior School and we facilitate this by dividing it into 3 sub-sections. As students grow and develop, they become members of a stage-group: K-2, Year 3-4 and Year 5-6. Each stage is overseen by a Head of Stage who reports to the Head of the Junior School. The stages allow us to vary routines and rules so that students can be treated according to their developmental needs.
Education in the Junior School will necessarily focus on essential skills, providing the knowledge and capability for more independent learning later on. However, the curriculum is also diverse with opportunities in drama, music, technology and language right from Kindergarten. We encourage children to learn from inquiry to discover and experiment with the world around them. We aim to make learning interesting which in turn incites a love of learning.
