Senior School geography teacher, Mrs Alex Warnock, has been awarded the prestigious Outstanding Professional Service Award for 2019 from the Professional Teachers’ Council (PTC) NSW. The award is an acknowledgement of excellence in the profession and is awarded to teachers who have five or less years teaching experience in NSW.

It’s fitting that this award was received on World Teachers’ Day – the day we celebrate the dedication and professionalism of our teachers and their invaluable care, support and growth of students the world over.

Mrs Warnock was thrilled to receive the award and thanked her colleagues, peers and mentors for their support of her work with the Geography curriculum and her involvement with the Geography Teachers Association of NSW & ACT.

“I can’t believe it – I’m still pinching myself,” Alex said.

Congratulations Mrs Warnock and all our fantastic teachers who go above and beyond in the name of teaching and learning every day.
