Using just a few household items, puppets are a fun way for children to stimulate their imagination and creativity.
With everyone ordering online there is masses of packaging and cardboard for creation. Children can create a puppet theatre and show to entertain the family, parents can record it and send to family members for their viewing pleasure. Everyone needs a show to keep them entertained! 😊
Children can:
- construct the theatre, and the puppets (finger puppets, hand puppets, paper bag puppets, string puppets – can all be created from bits and pieces found at home, lots of ideas that can be googled), write the play and perform it and then…..
- translate the play into the language that they are learning at school (French, German, Chinese etc) to perform again in a language not of their own native tongue (lots of googling can be done here also)
- puppet show can be filmed by parent/carer to send to grandparents, family members etc.
