We acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land, the Wonnarua people and pay our respects to the Elders, past, present and future for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and hopes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

We acknowledge the thousands of years of learning that has taken place on the land on which Hunter Valley Grammar School stands, knowing it is, and always will be Traditional Aboriginal land. Just as the land survives so does the culture, heritage and spirit of the Wonnarua people.
