Classroom Teacher - Mathematics

We are seeking to appoint a full-time permanent Classroom Teacher of Mathematics. Applicants are expected to be able to teach up to Stage 6 Mathematics and have demonstrated success in delivering outstanding results.

Particular experience in teaching HSC Mathematics Standard 2 is highly desirable. Experience teaching International Baccalaureate DP Applications and Interpretation would be viewed favourably as an additional qualification.

Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) and/or a willingness to undertake Professional Learning to teach the IB MYP Mathematics is expected.

Work Pattern: This position is to be on campus from 8:00 am until at least 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday each school day in accordance with the published term dates. Staff meetings and other avenues for collaboration require attendance beyond 4:00pm. 

This permanent full-time position will commence in Term 1, 2027.

Key Duties

As a Classroom Teacher - Mathematics within the Senior School, you will have responsibility to:

• Teach a full load of classes as determined by the applicable timetable.
• Be proactive in providing an academically challenging, stimulating and safe environment where students are enthused about their studies.
• Foster a commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration and sharing of knowledge and information with colleagues.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
• Display a strong dedication to customer service.
• Engage actively in the wellbeing program of the School, including taking a Mentor Group each morning and during scheduled wellbeing periods, contribute to wellbeing reporting, monitoring/mentoring of student development etc.
• Actively support student engagement in service learning program(s) of the School, both within the classroom and beyond it.
• Applicants should be prepared to make a significant contribution to the School’s co-curricular program in area(s) of interest or expertise.
• Attend all identified assemblies, carnivals, meetings and Professional Learning days as scheduled.
• Attend Parent/Teacher evenings, presentation ceremonies and other school functions as determined by the Principal, some which are outside of normal hours.
• Actively support and demonstrate proficiency in the use of the School’s Learning Management System as associated programmes (e.g. TASS, Microsoft Teams/OneNote).
• Have an active Professional Learning Plan and attend all required Professional Learning sessions etc.
• Attend an annual school camp; which generally occur during term time and require some nights away.
• Maintain strict confidentiality with respect to the School's business.
• Any other duties as directed by the Principal.
