The World is Waiting.

Give them a start they'll love.

The early years are where confidence grows, friendships begin and a love of learning takes shape. At HVGS, every child is known, supported and encouraged to be curious from their very first day.

Why choose HVGS for Junior School?

Our Deputy Principal and Head of Junior School, Shannon O'Dwyer, sums it up best:

"Joy is not specifically written in my job description. Joy is not written in the curriculum. And yet, joy is the very fabric of the Junior School."

The Curriculum

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) inspires students' curiosity, empathy, and a commitment to making a positive difference in the world.

The PYP integrates the Australian curriculum with six transdisciplinary themes, connecting learning across subjects, so students experience a rich, holistic education.

We like to think that we're preparing students not just for the classroom, but for life.

Expert Educators and Specialist Teachers

Exceptional teaching is the key to student success, and it’s what sets us apart.

Our classroom teachers are known for their excellence and genuine care, while our five specialist teachers enrich learning through music, French, sport, visual arts, and library lessons. Our Junior School leadership team is also exceptional!
