About the Role
A Senior School Teacher at HVGS is a proactive member within our Senior School and is engaged in providing a stimulating, engaging, evidence-informed and holistic education to years 7-12 students. Having experience with the International Baccalaureate MYP, CP and/or DP courses would be highly desirable. This position is open to a Science Teacher with a specialization in Physics, the capacity to teach multiple sciences from years 7 -10 is an expectation.
Work Pattern – Teach the applicable full load of classes across Stages 4 to 6. Monday to Friday. All staff are expected to be on campus from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

- Hold appropriate educational qualifications/bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject area and hold a current NESA registration.

The Casual Educational Assistant – Junior School (EAJS) plays a crucial role in supporting HVGS Junior School students and staff by supporting them to provide individual, small group and in-class support. The EAJS has a passion for helping students be the best they can be and help create an environment where students are able to flourish.
Work Pattern – This is a true casual position where there is no firm guarantee of consistent and ongoing work.
Key Duties
- Provide small-group interventions in literacy and numeracy.
- Assist individual children to develop social, emotional, or behavioral skills as needed.
- Support the Junior School Office with delivering messages to teachers and students, helping collect students as required.
- Develop and locate teaching resources to support teachers of students with diverse needs.
About You
- High level of literacy and numeracy skills with a high level of attention to detail, organisation, and time management.

About the Role
The Drama Faculty at Hunter Valley Grammar School has a reputation as one of the leading Drama programs in the Hunter region and beyond. We are seeking a professional, theatrically knowledgeable, and highly skilled specialist teacher to teach individual drama lessons, contribute to the co- curricular drama program and support classroom drama, Years K to 12. The position requires experience, commitment, proven collaborative skills and evidence of success and strategies in teaching vocal performance skills, stage-craft and acting. Experience in developing the Individual Project within the HSC Drama Course is preferred.
This is a permanent full-time position working the below hours in the first instance 38 hours per week on the days and times as follows:
- 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday (including a 30-minute unpaid break)
Key Duties
- Teach individual lessons to facilitate the development of acting, vocal and performance/presentation skills for students across K-12 as determined by the applicable timetable (inclusive of allowances for co- curricular engagement).
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the co-curricular Drama program of the School.
- Facilitate the implementation of Trinity College London syllabi and examination of Trinity certification and diplomas for students K-12.
- Contribute to the development of the Drama curriculum across the school, including musical performances.
- Collaboratively plan, prepare, and execute performances showcasing individual students and ensembles.

About the role
We are seeking a full-time Human Resource Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Principal, this role involves delivering high-quality HR services to the Executives, leaders and stakeholders across the school. You will be responsible for the management of all HR functions.
You will be responsible for:
- Effectively managing and coordinating the day-to-day HR operations within the school;
- Coordinating, supporting, and guiding leaders to provide regular and meaningful feedback to their direct reports, and where necessary, support with difficult conversations;
- Being the subject matter expert for the Multi Enterprise Agreement (MEA) and advising the leadership team in relation to its interpretation as required;
- Supporting employee relations activities, including performance management, grievance handling, remuneration, change management, and interpreting and advising on relevant legislation.
- Adopting a business partnering approach by providing HR advisory and operational support to leaders and employees across the employment life cycle;
- Developing, implementing and overseeing HR systems and processes to establish a robust and effective HR framework;
- Managing end-to-end, recruitment and selection processes, including attraction strategies; and
- Overseeing the management of the Worker Compensation claims.
About you
To be considered for this role, you should have the following qualifications & attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications in HR Management or similar (essential);
- At least five years of experience in a similar HR role;
- Working with Children Check or willing to obtain one;
- Return to work experience would be an advantage;
- Experience in not for profit or tertiary education services ( preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with a proven ability to build strong working relationships; and
- Ability to:
- work efficiently and collaboratively with the Executive staff to achieve common goals;
- work well autonomously without close supervision or direction;
- effectively lead and motivate others; and
